FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Causes and users are never charged a fee to join ActofGood.org. The site is free for everyone to use and enjoy.

To join ActofGood, simply visit www.actofgood.org, fill in your basic information and select the “Sign Up” button. You will receive an email asking you to validate your account information. To do this, click on the link contained in the email. Your account with ActofGood will then be activated. Fill out your profile information and begin exploring the site.

To enroll your cause with ActofGood, you must first be an individual user of the site. See How can you, a user, join ActofGood? for registration details. After you log into your individual user account, you can apply to have your cause added to ActofGood.org via the following steps:
Please note, to proceed with the cause enrollment, you will need to have the authority to control your Cause page on ActofGood.org.

Select Causes in the top left of the header and click on the Register a Cause link on the top left hand of that page. Fill out your cause's information to complete your enrollment and select Create Cause. If the cause is approved by the ActofGood team, you will receive an email to review the Charity Participation Agreement. If your Cause agrees, select Yes, I understand and accept this contract , then select the button: Activate My Cause. Now, select Check this box if you think this cause is ready to be visible by everyone on the site. Once you click YES, your Cause is LIVE. You are now ready to build your cause page by expanding your network, creating events, posting news and discussions and uploading photos.

After a cause registers with ActofGood, the information inputted is used by ActofGood to make inquiries about the cause and assure its validity. ActofGood will investigate all causes to help ensure that the quality of the site remains high.

To change your profile information, simply log onto your account and select Edit My Profile Then, follow the steps to update your general information.
