Description:
Heartland International Health Center, an affiliate of Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights, is a federally qualified health center on Chicago's north side. Our mission is to improve the well-being of the communities we serves by providing accessible, high-quality health care. HIHC provides comprehensive primary, prenatal, oral health, and mental health care (all integrated with an electronic health record system) as well as necessary interpretation services regardless of the ability to pay. In 2008, HIHC served 13,369 patients on Chicago’s north side. The organization primarily serves Rogers Park, Edgewater, Uptown, Albany Park, and Lincoln Square – a geographical area of 291,462 residents.
