Join us at the 1st Annual Golf for the Cure® event on June 1st 2009 at the Boulder Ridge Country Club in Lake in the Hills, IL to benefit Komen Chicago. Help us kick off this first year event, uniquely designed to bring together the Komen Chicago community to rally around a cause that has so deeply affected all of us. And, this time around it’s not about the score. Come celebrate with us out on the golf course and over dinner at the Promise Awards Dinner. Golfers are encouraged to bring along family and friends for dinner to enjoy a two-hour premium open bar, dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions, and raffle prizes.

And, show your support for your favorite local TV Sports Anchor and register for a chance to play alongside NBC’s own Daryl Hawks and Andrea Metcalf, Ryan Baker of CBS, Dan Roan of WGN, or Jill Carlson of Fox! Each anchor will participate in a foursome whereby the other three spots are ‘sold’ to the highest fundraiser, via our fundraising tool on this website. The top three Individual Fundraisers (with a $250 minimum requirement) will join their favorite anchor on the course for a day of golf!

Komen Chicago is thrilled to announce that tenor saxophonist Frank Catalano will join us at the Promise Awards Dinner. Catalano is a sensational sax player, performing with the likes of Tony Bennett, Miles Davis, Charles Earland, and Von Freeman. More recently, Catalano has been heard by millions of people all over the world having performed/recorded with pop artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Carlos Santana, Wilco, Destiny’s Child, and John Legend.
