Founded in 1912, Junior League of Chicago (JLC) is a nonprofit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our 1,500 members donate 200,000 hours of service each year to empower at-risk women and children through mentoring, advocacy and education.
Currently, the JLC is working with local neighborhoods and community organizations to promote initiatives and education on the topic of health, wellness and nutrition for women and children.
