About Organization
Book Author Series Mission
Junior League of Chicago understands that literacy is not only key to functioning in a modern society - it is paramount to educational development, career success and overall enrichment. Our Book Author Series shares the joy of reading and honors a long history of JLC's commitment to literacy.
Proceeds from our Book Author Series help fund JLC programs like Mad Hatters, a longstanding community project involving volunteers performing songs, skits and poems at local schools and libraries to promote reading. This program is designed for disadvantaged children.
