The mission of Anixter Center is to enhance the abilities of individuals living with or at risk of disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in the community. Each year at over 30 locations across greater Chicago, Anixter Center provides and array of effective, innovative services to more than 5, 500 children and adults. These services include education, employment, life skills, communication, recreation, health care, counseling and support. In addition to providing services, Anixter Center advocates for the rights of people with disabilities to be full and equal members of society.

Accent on Ability
Event Information
Please join us as the special guest of Anixter Center at Accent on Ability, our free luncheon event on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Galleria Marchetti in Chicago’s River West neighborhood.
This event is designed to give you an opportunity to learn more about Anixter Center and how we enhance the ability of people with disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in the community. It is also a fundraiser, and everyone there will be asked to consider making a contribution to support the services Anixter Center provides throughout the Chicago area.
You'll hear stories about people who have benefited from Anixter Center's services and meet some of them in person. Their stories may well inspire you to make a gift or pledge, but that is entirely up to you. There is no obligation to give.
More than anything, we hope that this event will help you learn more about the work of the agency and help you make or continue your connection with the agency.
The lunch will begin promptly at 12 noon and end promptly at 1:00 p.m. Galleria Marchetti is located at 825 West Erie in Chicago, a block west of Halsted and close to the expressway. Valet parking will be available.
