SAA raises money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swim events.

Swim Across America, Inc., [SAA] is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming - related events. With the help of hundreds of volunteers nationwide and past and current Olympians, SAA is helping to find a cure for cancer through athleticism, community outreach and direct service.

Swim Across America - Chicago is a non-competitive, open water swimming event in beautiful Lake Michigan benefiting the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center (CBCC) at Loyola University Medical Center. All swimmers must raise a minimum of $300 to participate in the event and can choose from several different distances to swim to reach a fundraising goal: 1/2 Mile, 1M, 1.5M or 3M.
