Purpose:

To serve children and families through educational, recreational, and leadership programs.

Description:

Jewish Council for Youth Services (JCYS) is an independent, not-for-profit agency dedicated to serving both Chicagoland's Jewish and greater communities and developing leaders who continue its tradition of volunteer service. Embracing Jewish values and culture, JCYS provides educational and recreational programs that nurture individual growth and promote responsibility to others. Annually, JCYS impacts nearly 20,000 individuals of all races, religions, and ethnicities through 3 Family Centers, traditional and specialized summer camps, outreach programs, and leadership development.

JCYS fulfills its mission by:
1. Providing the ultimate in educational and recreational services for young children and youth.
2. Embodying "Tikkun Olam" with programs that reach children with disabilities and youth-at-risk.
3. Recruiting and empowering emerging leaders to be tomorrow's most effective advocates and philanthropists.
